The Minnesota Timberwolves aren’t the team they were last year, and they have been suffering from a few problems throughout the season.
They are currently the seventh seed in the West but looking to climb higher and build a stronger future.
Because of that, they might be busy during the upcoming offseason.
Speaking on “Get Up,” Brian Windhorst said the Timberwolves are a team to watch when it comes to Kevin Durant in the summer.
He mentioned that they tried to get Durant right before the recent trade deadline, but it didn’t pan out.
However, they could attempt to acquire him again in a few months.

The pairing of Durant and Anthony Edwards could be massive for the Timberwolves.
These two men have played together before during the 2024 Paris Olympics, and Edwards has repeatedly said that Durant is his favorite player of all time.
He loves to compete against him and his Phoenix Suns, but he’d also be elated to play alongside him.
Durant will likely leave the Suns, but he wants to move to a team that is able to compete right away and fight for a championship.
The Timberwolves are one of those teams on the verge of true greatness and league dominance, but some people say they need just one or two tweaks.
Durant would definitely constitute a pretty big “tweak” and could be exactly what they need.
However, Minnesota won’t be the only team attempting to acquire Durant in the summer.
If the Suns really are ready to let him go, they will receive phone calls from numerous other front offices, and the battle for Durant’s contract will be intense.
How much are the Timberwolves willing to fight to get him?
