On the latest episode of his show, Skip Bayless upset some Phoenix Suns fans because he stated that Kevin Durant looks “mentally semi-retired.”
Bayless spoke at length about Durant and his past achievements, many of which will stand the test of time.
But he said that Durant seems checked out in Phoenix, isn’t playing defense, and is hurting the team.

Durant is averaging 26.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists this season, shooting 52.9 percent from the field, 39.9 percent from the three-point line, and 82.6 percent from the free throw line.
He is obviously still an exceptional talent and continues to be called one of the greatest NBA players of all time, but Bayless said things aren’t clicking for Durant in Phoenix.
But it’s not just Durant who is holding the team back, according to Bayless.
He said the whole squad is performing poorly and is the complete opposite of the top team in the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Bayless isn’t happy with how Durant is performing and, like others, feels it is time for the 15-time All-Star to move on.
Recent inside reports from the team say that Durant will probably leave this summer, especially after the Suns toyed with the idea of trading him weeks ago.
If that happens, will it bring him out of this semi-retirement that Bayless is talking about?
Is a change of scenery exactly what Durant needs?
His numbers are still robust and he continues to be a vitally important player for the Suns, but Durant doesn’t seem happy with the Suns, according to Bayless.
Luckily for Durant, it sounds like he won’t be there much longer.
