The New York Knicks took down the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night, sneaking past them with a one-point victory.
It was an important win, but it won’t halt a very troubling trend for the Knicks.
According to New York Basketball, the Knicks are 9-3 against most of the top ten teams in the league, but they are 0-7 against the three best teams in the NBA.
That’s alarming for Knicks fans because the team probably can’t go far in the playoffs if they don’t stop losing to the league’s strongest teams.

The Grizzlies are a good team and a win is a win, but why can’t the Knicks stop the Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics, and Cleveland Cavaliers?
Those three teams seem to have New York’s number, and that’s frightening because they will most certainly be a big part of the postseason.
The Knicks are the third team in the East with a 39-20 record, and they have shown many signs of greatness throughout the season.
But fans take issue with their lack of defense, limited depth, and the way head coach Tom Thibodeau pushes his players to their limits.
They worry that by the time the playoffs roll around, the Knicks will be drained and running on empty, just like they were last season.
Right now, the Knicks need to be racking up as many wins as possible while also creating a game plan for the postseason.
They have had a robust and exciting regular season, but it won’t mean much of anything if they can’t travel far in the playoffs.
If their sights are really set on a championship, the Knicks need to figure out how to fix this.
