The Chicago Bulls might not be ready for a long playoff run this year, but they are clearly attempting to build a bright future for the franchise.
Josh Giddey may be a part of that future, and he has been looking sensational lately.
According to Hoop Central, Giddey has been on a heater over the last five games.
It started with his game against the New York Knicks when he scored 27 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists.
That was followed by a game with 24 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists, and another with 25 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists.
Earlier this week, Giddey posted 21 points, eight rebounds, and 12 assists and put up 19 points, eight rebounds, and 12 assists against the Toronto Raptors on Friday evening.
Should Giddey be the centerpiece of the Bulls’ rebuilding process?

For the season, Giddey is averaging 13.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists on 45.8 percent from the field and 38.0 percent from the three-point line.
When he left the Oklahoma City Thunder in the summer, a lot of people weren’t sure what was next for Giddey.
Would he slip into irrelevancy because he wasn’t part of the Western Conference’s biggest team?
That doesn’t seem to be the case.
Although Giddey is playing for a team that isn’t as strong as his previous squad, Giddey is still making an impact with the Bulls.
They are the 10th team in the East with a 24-36 record, which means they probably are not ready to go far in the postseason this year.
But could they make some noise in the play-in tournament and the playoffs, and will Giddey be a part of that?
That seems more likely, especially after the games he just had.
Can Giddey continue to build on this record and remain one of the most crucial parts of Chicago’s roster?
