The Minnesota Timberwolves might not be surging like they were last season, but Anthony Edwards is still one of the most exciting players in the league.
According to StatMuse, he is currently scoring the most career three-pointers, most threes in a season, most 30/5/5 career games, most 40-point games, most 40-point games in a season, and most career 45-point games.
The Timberwolves may have taken a step back, but Edwards has not.
Anthony Edwards Timberwolves records this season:
— Most career threes
— Most threes in a season
— Most 30/5/5 career games
— Most career 40-point games
— Most 40-point games in a season

He is averaging 27.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game this season on 43.9 percent from the field and 40.6 percent from the three-point line.
For the third year in a row, Edwards earned an All-Star spot and is talked about as one of the most exhilarating young players in the league.
There is no doubt that few stars are playing like Edwards, but the Timberwolves are the eighth seed in the West right now with a 33-29 record.
That’s not awful, but it is not what fans expected, and if things remain this way, they will have to fight through the play-in.
Some fans have noted that Edwards has changed his approach to the game, and they are unhappy with his reliance on more three-pointers.
Others aren’t satisfied with his on-court outbursts and the technical fouls he receives.
There is no doubt that Edwards can be controversial at times, but he’s also producing huge numbers and keeping his team in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Can he keep it up through the rest of the season and have an impact in the playoffs next month?
All of these accomplishments are impressive but it would be disappointing if his team can’t make it through the first round of the postseason.
