It’s safe to say that Nico Harrison has a lot of enemies.
The Dallas Mavericks general manager angered millions when he traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in February.
Since then, things have been bleak for the Mavericks, but former NBA star Carlos Boozer has faith in the team.
Speaking on “Get Up,” Boozer said Dallas has what it takes to win, even if they might not pull off a championship this year.
“They have great pieces on that team. Nico did a good job of putting a really good team together for now. So, for next year, they are going to be a contender if they’re healthy,” Boozer said, per NBACentral.

Boozer thinks this group of players could be contenders, as long as they stay healthy.
Sadly, that has been a huge challenge for the Mavericks lately.
Everyone from Anthony Davis to Kyrie Irving, PJ Washington, and others have been hurt over the last few weeks.
The roster remains decimated, even though Davis is now back.
Since the Doncic trade, the team has dug a very deep hole, and it seems unlikely they can climb out this season.
But next year is a different story, and they could make some noise after healing, a restful summer break, and training camp.
Plus, the Mavericks are a team to watch when it comes to trades in the offseason.
They could acquire big-name talent, and a few names are being floated as possible recruits, such as Kevin Durant.
When Doncic left, people wrote off the Mavericks, but Boozer and others feel it’s too soon to count them out.
His team needs time and health, but Harrison may end up redeeming himself.
